2020

Strickland is a founding member of Sydney Experimental Arts Ensemble and key collaborator in their upcoming work Bat Lake. He participated in their FloorPlan (Campbelltown Arts Centre) and March Dance (Glebe Town Hall) residencies and will be collaborating in their upcoming Out of the Studio (Dirty Feet) and DAIR Residency (Ausdance NSW) developments.

2019

Strickland was a key collaborator and dancer in SXAE's full-length work Old Life/Dead Life at The Old 505 Theatre in the FreshWorks program.

The work was revived at the Io Myers Theatre in collaboration with The Australian Centre of Astrobiology and UNSW Creative Practice Labs.

2018

Strickland performed in SXAE's first short work DETKA in the Contemporary Choreography Competition (NIDA Theatres) hosted by Loredo Malcolm and Vi Lam. The work received 3rd place and a scholarship for further development.

He also performed in Justene William’s The Curtain Breathed Deeply at the Museums & Galleries of NSW Imagine Awards (The National Art School).

2017

He danced in William Forsythe’s One Flat Thing Reproduced (staged by Strut Dance), a production nominated for Best Dance Production in the 2018 Helpmann Awards.


Strickland performed in Dream Dance Company’s Enter The Vortex (Sarah Boulter, Marko Panzic) in Australia and New Zealand

2016

Strickland completed his Certificate IV in Dance Performance at Sydney Dance Company in the Pre-Professional Year Program. He performed in 2 One Another (Rafeal Bonacehla), Corporare (Thomas Bradley), Pacific (Kristina Chan) and Like a Salmon in the Sahara (Zachary Lopez) in the graduate performance season at Carriageworks. 


He performed in HEARD Sydney (Nick Cave) at Carriageworks, Pitt st Mall and Town Hall Sydney.

2015

Strickland undertook the Sydney Dance Company Pre-Professional Year Program under the guidance of Linda Gamblin, Shane Carrol and Jolie Brook. In PPY15 Revealed (Carriageworks) he performed in works by Iratxe Ansa, Sara Black, Lisa Griffiths, Ian RT Colass and in Rafael Bonachela's iconic work 2 One Another.
